Green Environment of Sustainable Development

Sustainable development can be addressed as development that comes up with the presen without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. It is to meet the needs of today, without compromising the needs of tomorrow. That means we can not go on using 20 current level of resources as this will not leave enough for future generations. 

From the above definition of the sustainable development, we can envisage a deep co-relationship between sustainable development and green environment. Green environment relates to the concer for environmental conservation and improved health of the environment. Environment is the fundamental place of resources. Wealth and resources that come from the environment are reall renewable. A stable development will occur only when we go green. Going green means embracine a way of life that helps preserve the environment by reducing, reusing and recycling items. The sustainable development can be attained by going green. The aims of going green should be: 

> Reduce pollution. 
> Reduce resources consumption and eliminate wastes. 
> Conserve natural resources and forests. 
> Maintain the natural ecological balance on earth so that living being can survive and thrive i their natural habitat. 

Sustainable development that comes from the optimum use of green environment is a by product of the environment. By the optimum and balanced use of environment, we can achieve the sustainable development goods. Besides, it can benefit us in three fields. These are A 

> Economic benefits. 
> Health benefits. 
> Environmental benefits. 

Securing economic development, social equity and justice and environmental protection is the goal of sustainable development. During the latter half of the 20th century, economic development for 2 better standard of living has been instrumental in damaging the environment. The old model of 'grow now, clean up later' no longer works for countries, including Bangladesh. 

The country needs to reduce environmental harm and embrace green-growth policies to ensure sustainable economic development in the coming decades. 

There are several steps taken by the different government of different countries to face the environmental degradation. Say for example, neighboring China imposed pollution control measures, stronger enforcement and better policies an standards to improve air quality in Beijing while maintaining steady economic growth. Mexico has maintained its upper middle-income status while making air cleaner in Mexico city after the United Nations rated the capital the world's most polluted city in 1992. 

In Bangladesh, the government has embraced better planning by making environmental sustainability a cornerstone of its seventh five-year plan through 2020. But still now, there are some shortcomings in maintaining the environment stable. Countries like China and India have made addressing pollution a national priority and Bangladesh could take a similar step by promoting 1 society wide approach to raising awareness of environmental challenges and providing mare resources to address them. 

But to promote the use of environment-friendly products, we need to make greener policies and provide financial incentives can spur investment in technical innovation for greener and cleaner outcomes. 

In time, the aim of sustainable development is to balance our economic, environmental and social needs, allowing prosperity for now and future generations. Sustainable development consists of long-term, integrate approach to developing and achieving a healthy community by jointly addressing economic, environmental and social issues, whilst avoiding the over consumption of key natural resources.

                                                                                                                  বাংলাদেশে একুশ শতকের ব্যাংকিং সেবা

ঐতিহ্যগতভাবে ব্যাংকিং একটি প্রাচীন পেশা যা সভ্যতা সৃষ্টির পর থেকেই চলে আসছে। ইউরোপের ইংল্যাহ্ এশিয়ার চীন কিংবা সেবার বিভিন্ন যার তত সমৃদ্ধ হচ্ছে। ব্যাংকিং সেবার এই আমূল পরিবর্তন এই একুশ শতকে এসে আমরা ভোগ করছি। এই একুশ শতকে এসে আমরা ডিজিটাল ব্যাংকিং সেবা উপভোগ করছি। ব্যাংকিং সেবায় যে পরিবর্তনগুলো এসেছে তা মূলত ঘটেছে লেনদেনের ক্ষেত্রে Digitalization এর করণে। ব্যাংক অব ইংল্যান্ডের একটি প্রতিবেদনে বলা হয়েছে যে, নরওয়ে বা ডেনমার্কের মতো দেশগুলোতে প্রতি পাঁচটি লেনদেনের চারটিতেই নগদ অ (Liquid) ব্যবহার করা হয় না। ব্লুমবার্গের New Economic Form Survey অনুযায়ী বিশ্ব জুড়েই নগদ অর্থের ব্যবহার কমে যাওয়ার হিড়িক পড়েছে। আর এই কমে যাওয়ার কারণ হিসেবে বলা হয়েছে যে, বর্তমান তরুণ প্রজন্ম নিজেদের ডিজিটাল জীবনযাত্রার সাথে নিজেদের অর্থনৈতিক লেনদেনকে মেলাতে চায়। তরুণ প্রজন্মের এই চাহিদার কাছেই হেরে যাচ্ছে Liquid Money. 

কাজেই একুশ শতকের ব্যাংকিং কার্যক্রমকে নিম্নোক্ত কারণে গতানুগতিক ব্যাংকিং কার্যক্রম হতে আলাদা করা যায়ঃ ১) নগদ অর্থ বহনের ঝুঁকি নেই; (২) অর্থের দ্রুত ও নিরাপদ হস্তান্তর; (৩) আর্থিক প্রতিষ্ঠানের ব্যয় সাশ্রয়; (৪) লেনদেনের প্রতিটি ধাপ চিহ্নিত; (৫) অপরাধমূলক কার্যক্রমে অর্থায়ন বন্ধ । বাংলাদেশে একুশ শতকের ব্যাংকিং সেবার কিছু উপাদান হলো ATM কার্ড, ডেবিট কার্ড, ক্রেডিট কার্ড, হোম ব্যাংকিং, মোবাইল ব্যাংকিং, ইন্টারনেট ব্যাংকিং, SMS ব্যাংকিং সহ নানা ধরনের অত্যাধুনিক সেবাই একুশ শতকের ব্যাংকিং সেবার প্রধান বৈশিষ্ট্য। 

Automated Teller Machine (ATM) বর্তমান সময়ে সবচেয়ে বেশি ব্যবহৃত এবং জনপ্রিয় সেবা প্রদানকারী অনুষঙ্গ। এটি একটি প্লাস্টিক কার্ড যা চব্বিশ ঘণ্টাই নগদ কমা ও উত্তোলনের জন্য ব্যবহৃত হয়। ATM কার্ড থাকার কারণে এখন ৩৬৫ দিনের যেকোন সময় টাকা উত্তোলন করা যায়। স্বাক্ষর মিল-অমিলের ঝামেলা নেই, ঝামেলা নেই ভীড়ের মধ্যে লাইনে দাঁড়ানোর। এটি সময় ও অর্থ উভয়ই সাশ্রয় করে। 

গ্রাহক তার একাউন্টে টাকা না থাকা সত্ত্বে যে কার্ড দিয়ে টাকা উত্তোলন করতে পারেন বা শপিংমল থেকে শপিং করতে পারেন-সেই কার্ডের নাম ক্রেডিট কার্ড। তবে এক্ষেত্রে ব্যাংক কর্তৃক গ্রাহককে টাকা উত্তোলনের একটি নির্দিষ্ট সীমা দেয়া থাকে। 

ব্যাংক একাউন্টের ব্যালেন্স জানার জন্য এখন আর সংশ্লিষ্ট ব্যাংকের শাখায় যেতে হয় না। বরং সংশ্লিষ্ট ব্যাংকের শাখায় মোবাইল নম্বর Registration করে SMS ব্যাংকিং সেবার আওতায় যখন তখন একাউন্ট ব্যালেন্স ও স্টেটমেন্ট পাওয়া যায়। এই সেবা সম্প্রসারণের মাধ্যমে শাখার গ্রাহক সেবার মান উন্নত করা সম্ভব হয়েছে। Automated Clearing House আরেকটি আলোড়ন সৃষ্টি কারী ব্যাংকিং সেবার নাম। এই নেটওয়ার্কের আওতায় এখন কেন্দ্রীয়ভাবে বাংলাদেশ ব্যাংকের প্রধান কার্যালয়ে Clearing সম্পন্ন হয়ে থাকে। এই সেবার অতিতায় গ্রাহকরা একদিনেই তার চেক তার ব্যাংকের যেকোন শাখায় মাধ্যমে Clearing করিয়ে অর্থ উত্তোলন করতে পারেন। এই কাজটি পূর্বে করতে এক সপ্তাহেরও বেশি সময় লাগত।  কিন্তু এই অটোমেটেড হাউজ ব্যাংকিং ক্ষেত্রে ইত্যাদি অগ্রগতি সাধন করেছে।

আন্তঃব্যাংক লেনদেনের ক্ষেত্রে যে সেবাটি সবচেয়ে বেশি সাড়া জাগিয়েছে তা হলো Electronic Fund Transfer Network. এই নেটওয়ার্কের মাধ্যমে কোন ব্যাংক অন্য যে কোন ব্যাংকের যে কোন শাখায় যে কোন একাউন্টে অর্থ জমা ও উত্তোলন করতে পারে। এটি মূলত কর্পোরেট গ্রাহকদের শতশত কর্মচারীদের বেতন-ভাতা দেয়া, রেমিটেন্স নির্দিষ্ট গ্রাহকের একাউন্টে জমা হওয়া খুবই সহজ হয়েছে এই সেবার মাধ্যমে। মোবাইল ব্যাংকিং এমন একটি শাখাবিহীন ডিজিটাল ব্যাংকিং সিস্টেম যার মাধ্যমে স্বল্প খরচে দক্ষতার সাথে মানুষের সাথে ব্যাংকিং করা যায়। ব্যাংকিং সুবিধা বঞ্চিত মানুষের দোড়গোড়ায় ব্যাংকিং সেবা পৌঁছানোর মোক্ষম অস্ত্র হলো মোবাইল ব্যাংকিং । 

মোবাইল ব্যাংকিং সেবার আওতায় রয়েছে অর্থ প্রেরণ, অর্থ গ্রহণ, নগদ জমা বা উত্তোলন, এক একাউন্ট হতে অন্য একাউন্টে টাকা প্রেরণ, ব্যালেন্স জানা, বেতন ভাতা প্রেরণ ও গ্রহণ, মোবাইল টপ-আপ (রিচার্জ), পণ্য ক্রয়-বিক্রয় ইত্যাদি। যেকোন মোবাইল ফোন ও সিম ব্যবহার করে মোবাইল ব্যাংকিং একাউন্ট খোলা যায়। E-banking হলো ব্যাংকিং সেবার নতুন দ্বার যার মাধ্যমে দ্রুততা ও নির্ভুলতা নিশ্চিতপূর্বক ব্যাংক Client দেরকে কাম্য সেবা প্রদান সহ পারস্পরিক যোগাযোগ স্থাপনে সক্ষম হয়। গ্রাহকদের দ্রুত ও সঠিক সেবা প্রদান, দৈনন্দিন ব্যাংকিং ব্যয় হ্রাস করা, কাগজে লেনদেন কমানো, তথ্যাবলী যথার্থভাবে সংরক্ষণ করা, সবুজ ব্যাংকিং সফলকরণ, আন্তঃব্যাকিং লেনদেন নিখুঁতভাবে সম্পন্ন করা সর্বোপরি ব্যাংকিং সেবা প্রদান প্রকিয়াকে সহজীকরণ ইত্যাদি উদ্দেশ্যে ব্যাংকিং হয়ে থাকে। সর্বোপরি, একুশ শতকের আধুনিক ব্যাংকিং সেবা বর্তমান ব্যাংকিং সেবাকে এমন একটি পর্যায়ে নিয়ে গিয়েছে যেখানে আধুনিক সেবা সংবলিত সকল সুবিধাই রয়েছে। অবশ্য এই ব্যাংকিং সেবার অতি আধুনিকীকরণের জন্য বেশ কিছু অপরাধমূলক কর্মকাণ্ডও বেশ বেড়ে গিয়েছে।

বাংলাদেশ অমিত সম্ভাবনার দেশ। গত বিশ বছরে বাংলাদেশের অর্থনীতির প্রবৃদ্ধির হার ৪.৫ শতাংশ থেকে বৃদ্ধি পেয়ে ৭.৮ শতাংশের অধিক হয়েছে ৷ একই সময়ে জনসংখ্যা বৃদ্ধির হার ২.০ শতাংশ থেকে হ্রাস পেয়ে ১.২৫ শতাংশে দাঁড়িয়েছে। দুটো উপাদান বাংলাদেশের অর্থনীতির দ্রুত প্রবৃদ্ধি ও ব্যাপক দারিদ্র্য হ্রাসের পেছনে প্রধান চালিকাশক্তির কাজ করেছে। একটি হলো রপ্তানি আয়ের অব্যাহত প্রবৃদ্ধি; আরেকটি হলো প্রবাসী বাংলাদেশিদের আয়ের ব্যাপক প্রবাহ। উল্লেখ্য বাংলাদেশ গত দশ বছরে ১০০ বিলিয়ন ডলারের বেশি রেমিটেন্স পেয়েছে। বিশ্বের নীতিনির্ধারকগণ বাংলাদেশকে তাই দ্রুততর অর্থনৈতিক প্রবৃদ্ধির দেশের সারিতে বিবেচনা করেন।

= Bangladesh is a country of immense potential. The economic growth of Bangladesh has growth from 4.5 percent to more than 7.8 percent in the last twenty years. At the same time, population growth rate declined from 2 percent to 1.25 percent. Two factors have been the key driving force behind the rapid growth of the economy and alleviation of poverty. One is the ongoing growth of export earnings and another one is the huge flow of income from the expatriate Bangladeshis. Notably, Bangladesh has received more than $100 billion remittance in the last ten years. So, world policymakers consider Bangladesh as a country of rapid growth.

The cost of Dhaka's traffic congestion is estimated at $3.8 billion a year, and that's just the delays and air pollution, not the less-tangible losses in quality of life. Paradoxically, the poor infrastructure is one of the reason why the city is growing so fast. Whenever a city-dweller is asked how long it would take to get somewhere, s(he) generally gives two answers: 'Without traffic, may be fifteen minutes. But with traffic ? Who knows?' In 2012, as a solution of this harsh uncertainty, the government announced a $2.75 billion plan to build a metro rail system and a $45 million bus rapid- transit line from the airport. For residents of Dhaka, it will come as a relief.

= যানজটের কারণে ঢাকাতে প্রতিবছর ক্ষতির পরিমাণ ধরা হয়েছে ৩.৮ বিলিয়ন ডলার। এখানে মূলত সময়ের অপচয় ও বায়ু দূষণের ব্যাপারটি হিসেবে আনা হয়েছে কিন্তু জীবনমানের ক্ষতির ব্যাপারটি গনণায় আনা হয়নি। সত্য বিবর্জিত মনে হলেও এটা সত্য যে নগর সম্প্রসারণের অন্যতম প্রধান কারণ দুর্বল অবকাঠামো। কোথাও যেতে কত সময় লাগবে-এই প্রশ্নটা কোনা নগরবাসীকে করলে সে হয়তো দুটো উত্তর দিবে (১) যানজট না থাকলে ১৫ মিনিটে আর থাকলে (২) আল্লাহ্ মালুম। এই রূঢ় বাস্তবতার সমাধানকল্পে ২০১২ সালে সরকার মেট্রোরেল স্থাপনের জন্য ২.৭৫ বিলিয়ন ডলার এবং বিমানবন্দর থেকে বাস সার্ভিস চালুর জন্য ৪৫ মিলিয়ন ডলার বিনিয়োগের ঘোষণা দেয়। ঢাকাবাসীর জন্য এটি স্বস্তির।

According to question, $\frac{(18000-n)\times 10}{100}+\frac{n\times 9}{100}=1700$

= (18000 - n) $\times$ 10 + 9n = 170000

=1,80,000-10n+9n = 1,70,000

$\therefore$Alternative workers complete in 40 days = 20 $\times \frac{40}{2}$=400

Now assume, they work x days after 40 days.

That means, alternate workers will work for $\frac{x}{2}$ days.

$\therefore$Total task can be written as

= 1, 200 + 400 + 30x + 20 $\times \frac{x}{2}$ = 2000

= 1, 600 + 30x + 10x = 2

=40x = 400

$\therefore$$x=\frac{400}{40}=10 days.$

Remaining papers = 35-5=30

$\therefore$Remaining time = 6-1=5 hours

$\therefore$Required new efficiency should be $\frac{30}{5}$ = 6 papers per hour

$\therefore$He must work = $\frac{(6-5)\times 100}{5}\%=\frac{1\times 100}{5}\%$ = 20%  faster. (answer)

Let, unit digit is y and tenth digit is x

$\therefore$The number is (10x + y)

From 1st condition, 10x+y= 6(x + y).......(i)

And from 2nd condition, (10x + y) - (10y + x) = 9 ............... (ii)

Now, from equation (i)

10x + y = 6x + 6y

=4x = 5y

$\therefore$x = $\frac{5y}{4}$…………………(iii)

Now, putting the value of x in equation (ii)

10x + y - (10y + x) = 9

= 10x + y - 10y - x = 9

=9x - 9y = 9

=(x - y) $\times$ 9 = 9

=x - y = 1

=$\frac{5y}{4}$ - y = 1

= $\frac{5y-4y}{4}$ = 1

$\therefore$y = 4

Putting y = 4 in equation

(iii), we get

$\therefore$x$\frac{5\times 4}{4}=5$

$\therefore$The original number is 10x + y = (10 $\times$ 5) + 4 = 50 + 4 = 54 (answer)
